My choice again then.

Federal Monkey Policy Live @ The RaceHorse Inn, Taunton 12 July 2014
A Jolly Rocking Night

As ever, my apologies for the quality of the camerawork and sound. At times too loud (if there is such a thing..) and distorted with speed ups etcetera as I invariably end up welded to a speaker or juddering and zooming with my Box Brownie Compact Audio, DeLux. This is in no way reflective of the performance of the band who I love. I loved them so much I will see them again. You knew that anyway or you will if you listen to the vids. Just pretend you were there after fluids. I've played all three recordings ten times each at least since Saturday (Tuesday today). Of course I have the original wax copy so I can listen to it in the at will. Great tracks. Is there a CD? someone silently asked me.

Cover of Drop Dead Gorgeous > Gimme Some Lovin'. Listen and Glisten. or else.

All Along The WatchTower, Your Children and AWalkAbout The Pub. I'm playing this as I write. I Love It.

Supported by superb hosts again at a fantastic venue. Many, many thanks from me. A guaranteed buzzing vibration. I hope to see you there in the square. Be hip or be oblong. Last night I was both.

A man with a long face walks up to The Bar.
The Barman said to the man, "Hello. Why the long face?"
The man replied, "Mind your nose FAT HEAD"

Turnette Doone played The RaceHorse Inn Taunton last night. As ever the place was alive with the buzz of beer conversation, an energetic and lively crowd, the throb of The Live Jukebox and the warm embrace of Traditional Pubdom.

As per regular, with schedules in the wash My Lady, I arrived apres the beginning of the opening set. Not to look too much like a groupie and rush to the stage I made my aquaintancies, with friends and brew and ventured forth.

Turnette Doone had my senses jigging and tapping as soon as I stepped through the pub door and as I honed in on the speaker system I developed an uncontrolable rhythmic body shuffle. Quite unsettling for some bystanders. This Band of Brothers are great to watch, great to listen to and provide an eclectic mix of tunes including one of my all time favorites Paranoid, played with energy, grace and individuality (I love this version Gents) PROPER ROCK ON TOMMY.

If a picture paints a thousands words and I only know 112 words I would be probably be repeating what the picture is saying so I think I'll go now. Bye.
Any jiggling and sound distortions are due to a crud camera, shaky limbs and a nervous disposition and not reflective of the bands performance. which was great. MORE.

Opening with the ending of I Saw Her Standing There >Stick Together (Great Sax From The Blacks and Rocking Berry Jamb) > LaLaLaLaLaLaBamba + Aimless PubWalk > Crazy Little Thing > Paranoid

Turnette Doone were supported by superb, as always, hosts at a fantastic venue, great choice of refreshments including one of my rave faves Cornish Cloudy Rattler and Guinness, in moderation of course.

A guaranteed buzzing vibe. I hope to see you there next time. Be hip or be oblong. I am both.

If you are drinking alone, in the dark, play this video loud and you will be amongst friends... just like going out.

Don't Rest In Peace - PLAY OUT LOUD!
